Chirag Gowda is a naturalist whose connection to the wild began long before he led his first safari.
As an 8th standard student, he started volunteering at Mysore Zoo, and what began as curiosity soon deepened into something more lasting.
By 11th standard, he was volunteering with WWF-India, gaining a broader understanding of conservation and environmental education.
Over the years, that grounding grew into hands-on field experience, working closely with wildlife, forests, and the people who call these landscapes home. For him, being a naturalist goes beyond knowing an animal’s scientific name; it is about noticing the smaller details that most people walk past, and understanding the story behind them.
Every experience in the wild continues to teach him something new, and he remains committed to exploring further and sharing these stories with all.
