Ethical Wildlife

We are merely visitors in the wild. Ethical travel is about leaving nothing behind other than our gratitude, and taking back with us stories that matter.

Ethical Wildlife is a wildlife travel company founded on the principle of respect – for animals, for forests, and for the communities that share space with the wild. We offer experiences that are exciting, visually stunning, and grounded in ethics, empathy, and education.

Founded by wildlife photographer Sachin Sarbalia, Ethical Wildlife came to fruition as a response to the need for mass tourism, impact, and meaningful exploration of India’s forests. Since day one, it has been our clear ambition to make wildlife travel ethical, immersive, and accessible.

Why Are We 'Ethical'?

We believe in observation instead of disturbance. We do not bait, we do not chase, and we do not do loud groups. We respect the distance of the wildlife and will never encourage off-route safaris.

We believe in conservation, not just tourism. A portion of our profits supports conservation NGOs in the area, ranger welfare, and habitat restoration. We travel with impact. We use local guides, naturalists, and trackers—in doing so the income from tourism goes back into the communities that sustain the forests.

We teach and inspire. We design our tours with teaching in mind. Whether you are an amateur photographer, a birdwatching aficionado, or a safari first time, you will always leave with a greater understanding of the wild than when you arrived.

Our Vision

To lead a change in how people experience the wild, where responsible travel is not the alternative, but the normal pathway.

Our Promise

Our promise with each and every tour is transparency, to be ethical, and an experience that stays with you, long after the forest is out of sight.

Our Ethos

We believe in slow travel, soft footprints, and strong intent. Every tour is a chance to learn, unlearn, and reconnect with the wilderness, with each other, and with what it means to be a responsible visitor in someone else’s home.

Building a Better Way to Travel with Wildlife

Born out of years of photographing India’s most elusive species and spending time with local communities, Sachin felt the growing disconnect between tourism and conservation. Ethical Wildlife emerged from that gap as a quiet rebellion against mass-market safari tourism. No noisy convoys. No unethical animal tracking. No rushed, checklist-style game drives.

Instead, what we offer is a slower, deeper, and far more meaningful immersion into India’s wilderness. From tiger reserves in Central India to the riverine forests of the East, every tour we curate is built on three cornerstones: respect, education, and impact.
